The BIMsider’s favourite posts from the world of BIM – for the week of Jan. 21st – Jan. 27th, 2018.
I’m going to start this week’s Roundup off with an opinion piece from upFront eZine about why Autodesk is NOT Adobe.
This is a Special Edition of the Weekly Roundup, focused solely on What’s New with Revit 2018
If you are going to be in the Calgary area on Wednesday, February 22nd, then you should check out this FREE DoC meeting (a subgroup of cBIMc). The meeting is from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at GEC Architecture Suite 300, 2207 4th Street SW Calgary, AB, T2S 1X1.
Another Autodesk University, or AU as we all call it is in the books, and once again it was just me and 10,721 of my closest friends!
I will start by sharing AU2016 by the numbers (at least according to the Autodesk University Website).
This is a Special Edition of the Weekly Roundup, focused solely on What’s New with all flavors of Revit 2017.1 – (formerly R2).
As more info and posts come out, I will update this post to keep all your Revit 2017.1 info in one place!
The registration for this year’s University is set to open on August 17th, and when it does you will have a ton of classes to choose from in all sorts of disciplines and software. I thought I would help out with the selection process by suggesting a few classes from this year’s course catalog.
The AU 2016 acceptance emails came out at the end of last week and I was lucky enough to receive one again this year! I was surprised, maybe even a little shocked, to read that I had been accepted for 4 sessions! Maybe I got 4 because AU classes are divided into four types: Instructional Demo, Hands-on Lab, Roundtable, and Industry Talk and I have a class for each type.
This is a Special Edition of the Weekly Roundup, focused solely on What’s New with Revit 2017 …….I would say all Flavors, but that’s one of the new things it’s just “Revit” in 2017, no more Architecture, Structure or MEP.
If you are going to be in the Edmonton area on Wednesday March 16th, then you should stop by and check out the second eBIMc meeting of 2016! I’m honoured to be the speaker for the evening, giving an encore presentation of my AU session from last December. I will also talk a little about some of the great new things that just came out in the latest FormIt 360 release on March 1st.
