The Living Model – Coming to a Western Canadian City Near You!

During the week of March 14th – 19th IMAGINiT and Autodesk will be hosting four live events in 4 Western Canadian cities, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon. These events are meant to be informative, as well as a great chance to meet and network with people in both the AEC and Manufacturing industries in these cities.

I have the great pleasure to be part of the team working on the AEC side of the event, and to present on “The Living Model” (more on the Manufacturing part later).

Presented by Dialog, Entuitive and EllisDon

This BIM case study features the tallest building in western Canada, the Brookfield Place Calgary project. The presentation will highlight some unique features of the project, as well as how the team was able to both share and leverage data input by other parties using BIM. The Design Team used BIM tools and processes to design and collaborate during the design phase. Currently, the construction team uses VDC for planning and coordination as construction is ongoing. The design team and construction team are collaborating to ensure the information required to carry out the work is updated and provided when requested. The Construction Manager and Sub-trades are coordinating and sequencing work throughout the project. This BIM presentation will be presented collaboratively between DIALOG, Entuitive and EllisDon
