The Living Model – Coming to a Western Canadian City Near You!

During the week of March 14th – 19th IMAGINiT and Autodesk will be hosting four live events in 4 Western Canadian cities, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Saskatoon. These events are meant to be informative, as well as a great chance to meet and network with people in both the AEC and Manufacturing industries in these cities.

I have the great pleasure to be part of the team working on the AEC side of the event, and to present on “The Living Model” (more on the Manufacturing part later).

Here is what to expect from “The Living Model

While BIM is not quite everywhere, more firms are adopting model-based technology for increased collaboration and less human error. But the most valuable part of a model—the underlying data—doesn’t always translate from one phase of a building project to the next.

Join us for a discussion on:

  • How model data can live throughout the supply chain and lifecycle of a building
  • Understanding what each project stakeholder wants in terms of data
  • Asking for the data you need to make a more effective model

We’ll also talk with building product manufacturers about how they can help create useable models that help designers and engineers more effectively analyze BIMs for sustainability, energy efficiency and more.

If you are on the Manufacturing side, while this will be a great event for networking with the AEC community it will also be informative with a presentation about “The Future of Collaborative Design”

Here is what to expect from “The Future of Collaborative Design

BIM is everywhere when it comes to designing and building.

Yet, most manufacturers are not offering their content to architects in a useable model format so that they can perform analysis or ensure that sustainable products are used.

Join IMAGINiT for a discussion on how digital technology will change the way Building and Manufacturing organizations collaborate and communicate on current and future projects.

During this engaging discussion our experts will explore:

  • How you can work closer and increase revenue streams through collaboration
  • Understanding the paradigm shift on project deliverables
  • What YOUR business can do to leverage this opportunity

Afterwards, enjoy time to network with building designers and building product manufacturers, and ask questions of our experts.
