RTC NA 2016 – Scottsdale here I come! (or should I say Phoenix?)

This year RTC NA (Revit Technology Conference North America) is taking place in the middle of July in Arizona some place between Phoenix and Scottsdale……..did you say you like it hot! Once again this year I have the honor of being selected to present two sessions.

One session is an updated, full length version of one of my sessions from last year about Revit Add-ins.

The other session is my first Lab, about the Dynamo workflow for those new or non-dynamo users.

Here are the abstracts of my 2 class for this years RTC North America in Scottsdale AZ.

Dynamo – Everyone is doing it – Session 3.2 – Saturday July 16th, 2016 @ 10:45 am – 12:00 pm  (this is a Lab)

  • This Lab is NOT for people that are heavy or intermediate Dynamo users.

This Lab IS for the people that aren’t programmers (visual or other) but from time to time may need to use Dynamo as        part of their workflow. It’s also for people that have heard of Dynamo or visual programming but never thought it was  something they could do (but it totally is!). It’s also for those that just don’t think Dynamo can help them in their everyday  workflow (don’t be so sure).

By the end of this session you will have an introductory understand of what Dynamo is. You will also learn that Dynamo  can be used to create geometry with parametric relationships, and that this geometry can then be pushed into a Revit  project or family using the Revit Database.

 And that’s not all!

You will learn that it’s not just geometry Dynamo can do. It can also help with everyday tasks like creating grids and  levels, add some trees to your site, preform an energy analysis, or even change your text from sentence case to all CAPS,  the list goes on and on…

 But wait there’s more!

Dynamo is open source, FREE, and works on more than just Revit!

Everyone is doing it, you know you want to do it to!!

25 Apps & Add-ins for Revit and the Revit Workflow – RTC NA 2016 Edition – Session 3.4 – Saturday July 16th, 2016 @ 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm

  • This class is an updated and retooled versions my RTC NA 2015 session! It’s a new year with lots of new and updated Add-ins and Apps to learn about and love!

This session is designed to be a little more fun as we explore some of the apps and add-ins that are out there for Revit. Well  the general flow of this class will be fun, there will be some helpful apps and add-ins that can increase you productivity  looked at as well. The class will cover 25 different apps, add-ins, and 3rd party additions to Revit (and others).

As the event gets closer I will be posting more info about my classes, and what time slots they will be in at RTC.
